Magazines are distributed globally through supermarket stores, lower market stores and outlets. Magazines can also be distributed online, through the internet. The distribution of magazine is vital for a magazine as this will make it more accessible for my target audience.Frontline Magazine Distribution is a distribution company that sells magazines to over 55,000 retailers across the UK. Frontline are the UK’s leading magazine sales and Distribution Company. Frontline are located in Peterborough, UK.

Frontline are known for doing much charity work and fundraising in their community. The reason I feel that Frontline would distribute my magazine is because my magazine productionis different from the magazines they publish; therefore by using mine they’re expanding their market. Also the reason that I think they will distribute my magazine is because they’re the UK’s leading magazine for sales and distribution therefore they would want to keep up that title with a new soon to be popular magazine. I decided to choose Frontline because frontline is the UK’s leading distributor, with them distributed many of the UK’s most popular magazines, which will be good for my magazine as this means that my magazine will be distributed very well. Already existing products they distribute include: Empire, Tv Choice, Match of the day and Heat. These are all big well known popular magazines therefore this is a good distributor for my magazine as they will have the experience of working with big magazine companies.

Some of the positives about my magazine: consistent house style, good variety of artists on contents page, colour scheme, contents page layout, busty front cover, placing and size of image on double page spread, wrapping of text around image on double page spread andgood article content.

Some of the negatives about my magazine: too much empty space on front cover (more cover lines needed), need to use a larger variety of fonts on my front cover, need more text in top strap line to fill gap on front cover, quote at the top of my double page spread needs to be slightly bigger.

This video has been chosen because it represents the type of genre my music magazine is going to be based on, RnB. The artists, in this video, apply and appeal to many of my audiences. I will use some of these artists as my sub stories in my magazines and use some of their existing products for analysis & inspiration.

Props and Costumes plan

There are many looks to my genre:

For my magazine I plan to use go with the sophisticated gangster style, having my models dress up smartly, as if they’re too wealthy to be dressing in the ‘ghetto look’. I have decided to this because the hip hop artist of today portray themselves this way and by conforming to the typical ‘look’and styles of today’s hip hop artist will appeal to my target audience. I will also use some props, such as shade. The reason I have chosen this image for my models is because this is what my target audience will be appealed too . Using these props and costumes will offer a sense of familiarity to the audience.

They're many fonts that could of been chosen to be my title for my three pages, the title on each page will be the biggest size text, therefore needs to be easily visible and readable to my audience.

I decided to use 'blairmidl' style font as it is really bold and readable to my audience. It is also very elegant and appealing. This will be good as it will be eye-catching to my audience. It also can contrast with many different types of a designs and animation. Impact font is a compatible font and will go great with the magazine pages design I have planned.
